Four days through the hills where Nepal was unified
This is a 3-night, 4-day tour of the Gorkha district hills in Nepal, taking in Bandipur, Ligligkot, Siranchok, Barpak and Gorkha. It suits families, couples, friends, student groups and photographers. Highlights include the Newari bazaar at Bandipur, the unification history at Ligligkot, panoramic ridge views at Siranchok, Gurung village culture and Buddha Himal views at Barpak, and the Gorkha Durbar and Kalika Temple.
Four days that string together the hill towns behind the Gorkha story. Ligligkot is where the annual race decided who would rule — the tradition that Prithvi Narayan Shah’s ancestors won. Barpak, high above, is a Gurung village that was the epicentre of the 2015 earthquake and has been substantially rebuilt. Siranchok is the ridge you drive along between them, and it is the reason photographers take this trip.
Tell us how many days you have, who is coming and what you want to see, and we will write the day-by-day plan around it — same guides, same published pricing.
We publish reviews as they are written, and only from travellers we have actually taken. Yours would be the first for this one.
