Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed when we have received a deposit, normally 25% of the trip price. The balance is payable before departure. Restricted-area permits — Upper Mustang, Manaslu, Tibet — must be paid in full earlier because the issuing authority requires payment in advance.

Cancellation by you

Tell us as early as possible. Where permits have not yet been issued, we will move you to another departure at no charge. Where government permits or non-refundable transport have already been purchased in your name, those costs cannot be recovered.

Cancellation or change by us

Mountain weather, flight cancellations, landslides and border closures all affect itineraries in this part of the world. Where we must change a route we will offer the nearest equivalent. Where we cancel a departure outright, you may transfer to another date or receive a refund of what we have not already spent on your behalf.

Insurance

Travel insurance is required on all trekking and high-altitude trips and must cover the maximum altitude of your itinerary and helicopter evacuation.

Health and fitness

You must tell us about medical conditions that could affect you at altitude. Our guides may require a participant to descend on medical grounds, and that decision is final.

Prices

Prices shown are per person unless the trip states otherwise — the Narsing Dham tour, for example, is priced per vehicle. Government fees and permit costs can change without notice.
